Day 2: Kigali city and cultural tour
Your Kigali City Tour starts as a historic journey with a guided tour through the initial modern building from which this capital was founded, to the fast developing neighborhoods which are changing the appearance of this city. Kigali is among the cleanest, most friendly and safest cities in Africa attracting several visitors plus investors.
During the tour, guests will pass through the older commercial “quarters”, residential areas and business areas of Kigali, visit some of the historic sites established in memory of the 1994 brutal Tutsi Genocide, have a guided tour to the Gisozi Genocide Memorial, as also find out more about the various neighborhoods as well as local attractions of the city. Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park via Nyanza palace and Butare Museum
After breakfast, you will depart for Butare, the second largest city of Rwanda which is regarded as the intellectual city of Rwanda. It hosts the National Museum, several academic and research institutions. On enroute to Butare, a visit to Nyanza (present day Nyabisindu), the former Mwami’s (King’s) palace and the seat of the feudal monarchy is appropriate. Visit the National Museum is a well set-up, if not the finest ethnographic museum of East Africa. It’s a good source of information on the cultural history of Rwanda and the region.
After the tour of the museum, experience a spectacular performance of the national ballet with the Intore-dancers. The performance is regarded by many as one of the highlights of a safari. Lunch is served in Butare and in the afternoon we shall drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk in Nyungwe Forest
An early morning breakfast, and later proceed to Nyungwe Forest at 6:00am to search for chimpanzee. You will also track the colobus monkeys in the forest and have a chance to view the other habitants of the forest like birds, reptiles and butterflies. Chimpanzee tracking will enable you to meet man’s closet cousins in the wild. You will be amazed to see these primates as they play, swing on tree branches, fight for food etc. This exciting up-close encounter with human’s closest relative will forever live with you. After the chimp tracking you will have an afternoon Canopy walk which takes place above a deep gorge cutting across the massive forest. Lasting about 1½ hours, the walk takes you through some beautiful foliage and animal habitats and you’ll have the chance to spot blue monkeys and unique birds that dwell in the upper levels of the forest canopy. Day 5: Transfer to Musanze for the famous Ibyiwacu cultural experience-Visit homes and local markets along the way

Be enthroned and become a king for some time while exercising king’s powers as presented to you by a village elder through a village ceremony.

This day starts with your driver guide picking you up from your hotel or airport in Kigali and embarking on an exciting road drive to the extreme South Western Uganda, aiming the Gorilla land of Bwindi Impenetrable forest National park. This is a drive of approximately 4 hours with lunch stop over en route or have lunch at th lodge depending on time. This border crossing journey takes you through different features to include tropical rain forests, savannah fields and the terraced hills of Kigezi famously known as the Switzerland of East Africa. Upon arrival in Bwindi, you will go for the Batwa community encounter which takes you to meet the original indigenous people who lived in this conservation area. They will entertain you through their cultural dance and music as well as giving you their historic stories. Optional Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park
After an early morning breakfast, and with your picnic lunch we then take a short drive to the park offices for briefing where we meet the excellent local guides and trackers who give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking. We then hike into the forest to a spot where gorillas were seen the previous night and track from there. Trekking may take anything between 1 to 6 hours depending on the location of the family and altitudes which is in excess of 7500 feet. The terrain is rough and muddy calling for physical fitness. Although the hike is physically demanding, the beauty of the forest and surrounding scenery make the trekking worthwhile. Cameras and plenty of fast speed films are recommended. Day 8: Bakiga tribe community tour and “Agartha taste of Uganda” experience

Day 9: Game drive in Ishasha and boat cruise on Kazinga channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park
After your breakfast you will be taken to Ishasha, famous for the tree climbing lions lounging in the tree branches while keeping a close eye on herds of Uganda kob, their favorite prey. You could have a chance to spot some tree climbing lions after you proceed to your lodge.

Day 10 – Transfer to Fort Portal-Possible stopovers at local markets
Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon” and is famous for the many tea plantations. You will arrive around lunch time. Drive to the famous Mabere ga Nyinamwiru caves in Nyakasura-Fort Portal. It is nestled between several trees and beautiful water falls on some ones farm land which he has kept and preserved for tourism. Otherwise for the cultural tourism enthusiasts, this is home to a very rich cultural history attached to these rocks which form scenic caves with streams of water above them causing refreshing waterfalls for those who visit. The Batoro (the tribe located in this area) have a strong belief attached to these caves with an interesting myth told through the generations about them. Day 11 - Crater Lakes Exploration
Have a calm breakfast before heading off for an exploration of the crater lakes. Formed by ancient volcanic activity, the crater lakes of Uganda are located near Fort Portal, and are a great hiking option. Typical hikes take you through local villages and tea plantations, to the base of several of these incredibly serene and beautiful lakes. With the Rwenzori Mountains in the background, this is by far one of Uganda’s most peaceful and extraordinary sights.

Day 12: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park and tour top of the falls
After breakfast you will be transferred to Murchison Falls National Park which is a 7-8 hour drive. Head straight to tour the Top and bottom of majestic falls, where the Nile crashes through a 7 metres gorge and then falls 45 metres. Numerous scenic viewpoints are a photographers’ delight, the most impressive view is of the foaming waters rushing into the gorge with a deafening roar, and you will have dinner and overnight at

Day 13: Game drive and boat cruise in Murchison falls National Park
You will set off at 6:30 am, cross to the northern bank of river Nile and head for a sunrise game drive in the Nyamsika plateau to see the Cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, Uganda kob, hartebeest and waterbucks. You may also spot oribi, bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, shy sitatunga, bush duiker, warthog and bush pig plus large carnivores including lions, leopards and spotted hyenas. Chimpanzees and olive baboons head the list of six species of primates found in the park. Crocodiles and hippos will be seen along the banks of the Nile. Some of the more common birds that can be seen include goliath heron, Egyptian geese, pelican, bee- eaters, kingfishers, hornbill, cormorant, saddle-bill stork and the rare shoebill stork.
You will return to your lodge for a late breakfast and some relaxation before setting off in the afternoon for a Boat cruise on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the falls. En route you will see hippos, crocodiles, water buck and a wide variety of birds including the unusual shoebill stork.
